Delta Air Lines and Banco de Chile launched the “Travel Delta” partnership, a program that encourages Banco de Chile and Banco Edwards Citi Travel Club cardholders to fly with Delta. The program, which encompasses Travel Club cardholders from the two banks, includes benefits such accruing miles that do not expire, purchasing tickets with up to 12 interest-free payments using their Travel Club cards, and access to Sky Priority® check-in and a VIP lounge in Santiago de Chile.

Travel Club cardholders additionally will be able to use Banco de Chile’s Dólares Premio award program for Delta Air Lines ticket purchases and will earn double miles on flights between Santiago and the U.S. until Dec. 31, 2015. Travel Club card holders also will receive additional benefits at the Santiago International Airport, including access to Sky Priority check-in and the ability to check an additional 50 lb. piece of luggage for free once each year.

“We are delighted to partner with Banco de Chile and Banco Edwards Citi and we look forward to providing additional benefits to our mutual customers,” said Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president for Latin America and the Caribbean. “Responding to the needs of our customers in Chile is a proof point of Delta’s commitment to be the best U.S. airline in Latin America.”

This is an exciting partnership. It drives home our deep commitment to the region, representing just one of the many ways Delta is expanding its presence in Chile and in Latin America overall.
