History
- Delta began serving Salt Lake City in April 1980. The city became a hub for Delta in April 1987 after a merger with Western Airlines. Western Airlines initiated service to Salt Lake City in 1926.
Service
- Delta started nonstop service between Salt Lake City and Paris in June 2008. The route, operated in cooperation with SkyTeam partner Air France, was the first trans-Atlantic service offered by any airline from Salt Lake City, and the only nonstop service operated by a U.S. carrier between the Western United States and Paris.
- Delta operates two daily nonstop flights between Salt Lake City and Washington-Reagan National Airport, which are among a handful of flights allowed to operate beyond the airport's 1,250-mile perimeter rule.
- Salt Lake City is Delta’s gateway to America’s ski resorts, offering year-round service to ski destinations across the Mountain West and Canada.
