ATLANTA, Oct. 16, 2006 – Delta Air Lines and InPhonic, Inc. have teamed to create the SkyMiles Wireless program.  The collaboration will allow customers to translate their phone plan into a flight plan as they earn miles by purchasing wireless phone plans and accessories from a secure online storefront.

Delivered in coordination with mForce Communications, The SkyMiles Wireless program will offer members a variety of calling plans and wireless devices including popular telephones, PDAs, smartphones and wireless air cards.  In addition, SkyMiles members will be able to earn miles on Bluetooth headsets, car chargers, batteries and more.

SkyMiles members will earn 5,000 miles when they activate a new wireless plan with any of the nation’s top carriers and 10 miles for every $1 spent on wireless accessories—all via SkyMiles Wireless.

“The SkyMiles Wireless program will keep our busy customers connected – at home or when traveling - while providing another way to accumulate valuable miles,” said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program.  “InPhonic is a leading wireless provider and will offer our members a comprehensive suite of products and services.”

SkyMiles members may earn:

  • 5,000 miles for each new service plan activated
  • 10 miles for every $1 spent on wireless accessories
