Spring is a time to reboot and refresh, so Delta is serving up new flavors on its Flight Fuel menu in time for the season. Beginning April 1, customers on select flights over 900 miles within North America will enjoy a refreshed Flight Fuel menu, featuring new and updated for-purchase dining options.The new menu is just one of many refreshes to come to the airline’s onboard dining program in an effort to offer customers seasonally-inspired fare and align with Delta’s evolving culinary strategy.
Some highlights from the spring menu include an updated fruit and cheese plate featuring Vermont Cheddar, brie, Beemster mustard cheese and smoked Gouda; a revamped Mesquite-Smoked Turkey combo; a continental breakfast and a new Mesquite-Smoked Turkey breakfast sandwich.Luvo wraps also continue to be a main feature on the menu – this time around, customers can enjoy the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Orange Chicken Wrap in-flight. Through the airline’s Luvo partnership, Delta flyers can choose from chef-created, nutritionist-approved wraps that are packed with nutritional value and contain less than 500 calories and limited sodium and added sugars.
The updated menu will maintain its popular snack boxes, Crave, Crunch and Tapas, which are offered in-flight all day long.“We’re excited to introduce our new Flight Fuel menu with refreshed favorites from our previous menu, like the fruit and cheese plate, and revamped Luvo wraps,” said Allison Ausband, Delta’s Senior Vice President – In-Flight Service. “Since introducing the Flight Fuel program in June 2016, we’ve remained focused on offering fresh and healthful food with bold flavors for our customers, and hope they enjoy our new offerings.”
Aligning with the airline’s focus on providing transparency and options for customers, all Flight Fuel items feature full ingredient and allergen labeling.
Select refreshed items from Delta’s new Flight Fuel menu, will also be offered for free in the Main Cabin on some of Delta’s longest domestic routes. Earlier this year the airline announced its complimentary Main Cabin meal program on 12 routes including flights between New York’s JFK and Los Angeles/San Francisco as well as flights between 10 other major domestic markets from Seattle, New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. including BOS-SFO, BOS-LAX, BOS-SEA, DCA-LAX, JFK-PDX, JFK-SAN, JFK-SEA, SEA-FLL, SEA-MCO and SEA-RDU.Delta’s new meal program will feature a variety of options for customers depending on the time of day of their flight.
Offering complimentary meals on select flights in the Main Cabin is part of Delta’s ongoing multi-billion dollar investment in the on-board customer experience that includes upgraded Main Cabin snacks, enhanced blankets, refreshed Flight Fuel food-for-purchase options and free in-flight entertainment. Main Cabin customers on long-haul international flights are also treated to complimentary beer, wine and spirits and sleep kits.
