Reservation Sales, Customer Care and Delta Sales Support (DSS) teams received multiple honors at the 2016 Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service event held recently in Las Vegas.

The Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service recognize the achievements of contact center, customer service, business development and sales professionals worldwide.

Customer Care brought home the Gold Stevie Award for Customer Service Team of the Year – Recovery Situation.

DSS also received a Gold Stevie for Customer Service Department of the Year. This is the fourth consecutive year that DSS has won the Gold Stevie in the Airlines, Distribution and Transportation category.

Reservation Sales and Customer Care captured the Silver Stevie Award for Contact Center of the Year (Over 100 Seats).

“Let me just say, #Deltaproud!,” said Lynn Norris, Customer Experience Manager – ATL. “It was truly an honor and privilege for Delta and our amazing teams to be recognized.”

Employees brought home the majority of the Reservation Sales and Customer Care division’s additional Silver and Bronze Awards:

  • Janet Whiting, SLC Customer Experience Supervisor Lead; Lydice Ortiz, DFW Customer Experience Specialist; and Hanan Ahmed, Atlanta Flex at Home Customer Experience Specialist won Silver Stevies as Front-Line Customer Service Professionals of the Year.
     
  • Tamika DerosaSmith, Refunds Specialist, won a Silver Stevie for Back-Office Customer Service Professional of the Year, and the Res Queue Support Team won the Silver Stevie for Back-Office Customer Service Professional of the Year.
     
  • Vinicius Branco, Atlanta Portuguese Customer Experience Specialist, won the Bronze Stevie Award for Front-Line Customer Service Professional of the Year.
     
  • The Social Media team won the Bronze Stevie for e-Commerce Customer Service Award.

DSS also won Bronze Stevie awards in the following categories:

  • Telesales Team of the Year: Small-to-Medium Enterprises Development Team
  • Contact Center Leader of the Year: Boh Ying Leong
  • Sales Support Team of the Year: J-Line Support Team
  • Contact Center Professional of the Year: Sharon Moses
  • Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – All Other Industries: Latin American and Caribbean Sales Support Team

“Delta Sales Support’s team of empowered associates always strives for proactive flexibility in a customer-focused manner,” said Scott Santoro, Managing Director – Delta Commercial Sales Support. “The Stevie Awards showcase these tenets and further differentiate us from our competitors.”

Based on the many awards received by the teams, Delta also won a Grand Stevie Award. The Grand Stevie Award is given out as a result of the total number of 2016 awards presented to the top 10 companies and organizations.

More than 2,100 nominations were evaluated in this year’s competition. Stevie Awards competitions receive more than 10,000 entries each year from organizations in more than 60 countries.
