Teenager surprised with NYC trip through Make-A-Wish and Delta
Aimed at granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions, Make-A-Wish International, in partnership with Delta, recently made a young girl from Mexico’s wish of traveling to New York City a reality.
16-year-old Ana was recently diagnosed with lupus. Despite battling her own debilitating disease, she helps care for her three siblings, one of whom also has a life-threatening illness.
For Ana, The Big Apple is a place larger than life, where the lights of Broadway are a beacon of hope. Along with her mother, she got the chance to explore all the best the city has to offer, including a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Times Square, but the highlight of her trip was seeing the Broadway musical, “The Phantom of the Opera.”
Make-A-Wish International is one of the charities Delta supports through the SkyMiles SkyWish program in Latin America and the Caribbean. Donate your miles to SkyWish and select Make-A-Wish to help make more wishes like Ana's come true.
