Dan Janki, E.V.P. and Chief Operating Officer
Dan Janki has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Delta Air Lines since April 1, 2026, overseeing all aspects of Delta's safe, reliable operation. In this role, Janki leads Delta's Airport Customer Service, Flight Operations, In-Flight Service, Operations & Customer Center, Reservation Sales and Customer Care, Technical Operations, and Corporate Safety, Security and Compliance teams.
He also serves on the Delta Leadership Committee, a group of the airline's top executives who work closely with CEO Ed Bastian on the company's strategic vision and direction.
"As our Chief Financial Officer, Dan has shown the operational depth and disciplined focus that drive the world‑class performance our people, customers and investors expect," Bastian said when Janki’s selection was announced. "Bringing our operating units together under his leadership will further strengthen alignment and coordination across our team, which is critical to succeeding in our fast‑paced, dynamic environment."
Prior to assuming the role of COO, Dan served as Chief Financial Officer for five years after joining the company in 2021. While CFO, he oversaw the Finance organization, including financial reporting, the controller organization, corporate audit, financial planning, investor relations, treasury, fleet and TechOps supply chain, fuel management (including our refinery), supply chain management, and corporate strategy.
Prior to joining Delta in July 2021, Dan enjoyed a long tenure with General Electric, most recently serving as President & CEO of GE Power Portfolio and Senior Vice President of GE. He has more than 25 years of experience at GE in a wide variety of senior roles at GE Energy, GE Capital, GE Global Operations and GE Corporate.
Dan graduated from Ohio State University with degrees in Finance and Accounting. He and his wife Terri live in Atlanta with their three children.
