Deborah Wheeler, Chief Information Security Officer
Deborah Wheeler is Delta’s Chief Information Security Officer. In this role Wheeler leads Delta’s Information Security team responsible for the airline’s cyber security efforts that secure and protect information important to Delta and personal to its customers, while ensuring the overall cyber resiliency of the airline.
Wheeler’s 25 years in the technology sector include 20 years in financial services, where she has served as the CISO at Fifth Third Bank, Ally Financial and Freddie Mac. She has also held information security leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase and PNC Bank. Wheeler has earned the People’s Choice Award for CISO of the Year, and has served on the Customer Advisory Boards for Symantec and Axent Technologies. She holds both CISSP and CRISC certifications and is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in Information Systems Management.
