Delta Air Lines has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 by Points of Light, the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, for the sixth year in a row. The award recognizes Delta as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States. Delta was also recognized as this year's Industrials Sector Leader and is the only airline named to the list again this year.

"Part of being a purpose-driven company means being a strong partner and giving back to the communities where we live, work and serve. It is core to Delta's culture, and we are honored to be named to the Points of Light Civic 50 for the sixth year in a row," said Tad Hutcheson, Managing Director of Community Engagement at Delta.

For 11 years, The Civic 50 has provided a national standard for corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and resources to drive social impact in their communities and company. The Civic 50 honorees are companies with annual U.S. revenues of at least $1 billion and are selected based on four dimensions of their corporate citizenship and social impact programs: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems and impact measurement.

"Companies play a critical role in creating thriving, participatory communities," said Diane Quest, interim president and CEO, Points of Light. "Companies like Delta Air Lines set a model for others, showing how to best use employee talent, business assets and integration to create meaningful impact, and we're thrilled to uplift and celebrate their work as an honoree of The Civic 50 2023."

The Civic 50 sets the standard for corporate civic engagement and creates a roadmap for companies seeking to best use their time, talent and resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.

The annual survey is administered by True Impact and consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform scoring process. The Civic 50 is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities.
