Act 1 of Delta's CES 2025 opening day keynote at Sphere celebrated Delta people for driving the airline forward, with CEO Ed Bastian recognizing key Delta people who were in the audience:

• Diane Carvelli who, together with her late colleagues Ginny Oxford and Jean Owens, led a grassroots effort in 1982 to buy Delta's very first Boeing 767 aircraft
• Delta flight attendant Joan Crandall, who recently celebrated 65 years of service at Delta
• First Officer Dana Nelson - the first Black female pilot hired by Delta
• James Sarvis who’s served Delta for over 50 years in a number of vital positions
