Steven D. Williams, V.P. - International Portfolio Management
Steven D. Williams currently serves as Vice President – International Portfolio Management at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta. Steve is the lead manager of a portfolio of strategic investments among Delta's global airline partners including LATAM, Air France-KLM, Korean Air, Virgin Atlantic, Aeromexico, and China Eastern. Prior to managing the portfolio, Steve was head of Strategic Corporate Development at Delta, where he led a team focused on M&A, tactical growth initiatives, joint ventures, and venture capital investing.
In addition to building Delta’s global airline partner portfolio, Steve has worked to carve out several Delta subsidiaries, including Delta Global Services and Delta Private Jets. Steve also led Delta’s venture investments into innovative technology companies in the biometrics, robotics, digital imaging, and software sectors.
Before Delta, Steve was with Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division in New York, working in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and the Global Industrials and Transportation Group. In his time at Morgan Stanley, Steve advised on more than $250Bn of announced M&A, as well as more than $70Bn of equity and debt capital markets issuance activity across a wide range of industries.
Steve received his MBA degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and his B.B.A in Finance and Minor in History from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. Steve is an avid tennis player and golfer, and enjoys spending time with Elizabeth, his wife of 20 years, watching his son Lucas and daughter Lydia playing baseball and softball in the Atlanta area.
