Brad Sheehan serves as the Vice President – Flight Training and Standards, where he is responsible for the teams who lead pilot training, flight standards, business strategy and technical support for more than 15,000 Delta pilots and its global flying operations.

Prior to his current role, Brad served as the Managing Director of Flight Safety where his team was responsible for managing aircraft flight data analysis and modeling, operational safety reporting programs, and air safety investigations.

Prior to joining Delta, Brad was the Vice President of JetBlue University, responsible for leading JetBlue Airways’ learning and culture programs. He played a critical role overseeing JetBlue’s education, training and development across the entire operation.

Brad spent over 18 years at ExpressJet Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines in various positions, including Senior Vice President of Operations, where he oversaw 2,400 daily departures and a fleet of over 400 jets. He was the Director of Safety for the merger and integration of Atlantic Southeast Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines into a Single Operating Certificate (SOC) which became the world’s largest regional airline.

Brad has served in several other operational, training and safety leadership roles during his 25 years in the airline industry and has held 3 FAA 119 positions including director of safety, director of operations and chief instructor. Brad has considerable experience in quality management, system thinking, just culture and human performance and has been invited to speak about aviation safety, training, and organizational culture across the globe.

Brad graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and holds several certificates in business management from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Brad also actively flies the Airbus A320 and A330 at Delta Air Lines.

He lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and son.
