Delta Air Lines is announcing new partnerships in professional and amateur golf that further its support of women’s athletics. The new deals will focus exclusively on female athletes, as Delta aims to establish a well-rounded and gender-balanced set of partners under its broader commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion.

“Our brand partners are an extension of Delta’s core values, and the addition of these world-class athletes bring Delta’s presence within golf to the next level,” said Emmakate Young, Managing Director of Brand Marketing and Sponsorships. “These partnerships allow us to keep climbing toward our mutual goals of driving engagement, equity and involvement with women’s sports.”

The next phase of Delta’s golf portfolio tees off June 1 with the LPGA’s Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National Golf Club outside New York City, where Delta will be the official airline partner of the tournament.

Delta is excited to announce the addition of LPGA ambassador partnerships with tournament host Michelle Wie West and newly turned professional Rose Zhang, the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur and first-ever back-to-back NCAA Champion in women’s golf, who will be making her professional debut at the Mizuho Americas Open. Delta will embark on these partnerships as the golfing world prepares for the highly anticipated arrival of Zhang to the LPGA Tour and celebrates the conclusion of Wie West’s professional playing career and the beginning of her next chapter.

"As a Delta Million Miler and long-time traveler, Delta has been by my airline of choice throughout my LPGA career,” said Wie West. “Partnering with them is an exciting next step as I approach a new phase in my career and life. I look forward to joining Delta in the skies and on the course as we take women’s golf to new heights.”

Zhang, who recently set a new record for most wins in Stanford golf history, will compete at the Mizuho Americas Open in Delta-branded apparel, showcasing the Delta name and logo on the left side of her hat, golf towel and caddie hat while playing LPGA Tour events.

“Starting my professional journey with Delta is invaluable as we work together to elevate women’s golf and continue the climb in my career,” said Zhang. “Delta and I both share the desire to be the best in our game, and I am proud to have them on my team as we take flight together on this next chapter.”

In the amateur world, Delta will partner with rising stars Megha Ganne and Rachel Kuehn. Ganne will wear Delta branding on her golf shirt, and Kuehn will wear Delta branding on her hat while playing in non-collegiate competitions. Ganne will also be teeing it up at the Mizuho Americas Open as a sponsor exemption.

These new agreements align with Delta’s commitment to engage with and support women’s sports as the airline increasingly focuses on championing and investing in female athletics. In addition to expanding its presence in golf, Delta continues to support the National Women’s Soccer League as the Official Airline and Travel Partner of the NWSL and elevate female athletes through its role as the Official Airline of Team USA for Beijing 2022, Paris 2024, Milan Cortina 2026, and Los Angeles 2028.
