Connecting Atlanta to the World
Delta is expanding its African network with new nonstop routes from Atlanta, including its first-ever service to Marrakech, Morocco*, which started Oct. 25.
*Subject to government approval
Delta is also adding seasonal service from Atlanta to Accra, Ghana, beginning Dec. 1, to meet peak winter demand.
With these additions, Delta is making both destinations more accessible while bringing its renowned premium experience to more of Africa.
Customer Experience/Facilities
TSA PreCheck Touchless ID (formerly Digital ID)
Delta has invested heavily in technologies to streamline and transform the airport journey. TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID (“Touchless ID”), Delta’s time-saving, industry-first technology that allows customers to check bags and move through security without showing a physical government ID, debuted at ATL in 2021. Touchless ID is available to eligible customers in both the domestic and international terminals.
Delta Sky Club
Delta has invested more than $12 billion into modernizing its hub network, including major enhancements at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport:
- A new 24,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club — the largest in the airport — which opened in spring on Concourse D and features panoramic views and amenities for every type of traveler.
- Upgrades to Delta Sky Clubs on Concourses A and C designed to elevate the guest experience. Nine Delta Sky Clubs throughout the hub provide customers with thoughtful amenities like an assortment of meal offerings, premium beverage selections and intentionally crafted lounge space.
- Delta’s expansion of Concourse D has also added more gate space and improved passenger flow.
Advancing Sustainable Travel at ATL

- GreeningATL program aims to transform ATL into the world’s greenest airport
- ATL’s awarded Food Heroes Program reduces food waste by 33% (2019). ATL recovers 30,000 lbs. of edible food for local communities daily
- World’s first airport to receive LEED for Communities Certification (2019
- More than 30% of ATL core ground support equipment (GSE) has been electrified
- More than 20% of ATL departures are on next-generation fleet (A220, A321 Neo, A350), which are more fuel efficient
- ATL has established landing and taxiing procedures to save on jet fuel
