Richard Cox, Senior Vice President of Airport Customer Service
Richard Cox is Senior Vice President – Airport Customer Service (ACS). He leads Delta’s largest frontline operating group, including above- and below-wing ACS employees, Delta Sky Club agents, and teams responsible for GSE, aircraft cleaning, tower and cargo operations.
Richard most recently served as Senior Vice President – Reservation Sales and Customer Care. In this role, he led communications for customer care and engagement across various messaging and social media channels.
Prior to joining Delta in September 2022, Richard served as Chief Information Officer at Cox Enterprises, leading enterprise-wide IT and digital strategy. He spent the first 16 years of his career in the travel industry leading operations for Worldspan and then Orbitz Worldwide, where he was responsible for customer experience strategy and global sales and service call center operations. He also held various senior leadership roles at Cox Automotive. Additionally, Richard served the city of Atlanta as Chief Operating Officer in 2018.
Richard is passionate about community work and serves on the boards of Kennesaw State University. Richard lives in Atlanta with his family.
