Amala Duggirala – E.V.P. and Chief Digital and Technology Officer

Amala Duggirala is Executive Vice President and Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Delta Air Lines, where she leads the company’s global Digital & Technology organization and drives Delta’s continued digital transformation.

In this role, Amala is responsible for delivering enterprise technology that powers Delta’s worldwide operations and for building human‑centered, digitally enabled experiences for customers and employees. Her focus is on advancing data‑ and insight‑driven technologies that ensure every customer feels welcomed and cared for throughout their travel journey. Amala is also responsible for embedding security‑by‑design principles across systems, processes, and teams. She partners closely with risk and compliance leaders to strengthen cyber resilience, safeguard data, and uphold trust with customers and stakeholders.

Amala is deeply committed to equipping Delta teams with advanced, agentic, and data‑informed solutions that provide greater flexibility, control, and simplicity across the travel experience. Under her leadership, Delta continues to modernize its systems and tools, empowering employees with meaningful insights that enhance customer engagement and reinforce Delta’s position as an industry leader.

Prior to joining Delta, Amala served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at USAA. She has also led large‑scale digital transformations for major organizations including Regions Bank and ACI Worldwide. She is widely recognized for her strategic, forward‑looking leadership and deep technical expertise. Rooted in her engineering foundation, Amala is closely engaged in enterprise technology strategy, architecture modernization, cybersecurity, and AI-driven innovation while fostering a strong culture of mentorship and continuous learning and real-world application.

Amala holds a degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Osmania University, an MBA from the University of Nebraska, and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Columbia University. She currently serves on the Board for Kelly Services, Inc, a global leader in workforce solutions. In addition, she advises several startups and nonprofits on technology and digital transformation.
