Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

International customers arriving at SEA will see new baggage claim and customs processing areas as well as amenities such as nursing rooms and pet relief areas.

Delta takes pride in its position as Seattle’s largest premium global airline. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) serves as a crucial coastal hub for Delta, operating nearly 170 peak-day departures from SEA to more than 50 destinations worldwide.

Delta flies to more international destinations than any other carrier at SEA, including to popular cities such as Amsterdam, Cancun, Paris and Puerto Vallarta, as well as multiple cities in Alaska and Hawaii. Seattle also serves as a key gateway for the airline’s operations across the Pacific, which features four non-stop trans-Pacific destinations, with routes to Incheon (ICN), Tokyo (HND), Taipei (TPE) and Shanghai (PVG).

Delta marked its 90th anniversary in Seattle in December 2023, a history dating back to the start of operations by Northwest Airways (later Northwest Airlines) in 1933. Delta flights began on June 1, 1980, with nonstop service between SEA and Atlanta (ATL), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Portland (PDX).

Recent Network Developments

This year, Delta will launch daily year-round service to Miami on Dec. 21.

Delta has further expanded its Asia network this summer with the launch of daily nonstop service to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) which began June 6, 2024.

Additionally, Delta will start new service to Dallas/Forth-Worth starting July 8.

Investments

Delta, in partnership with the Port of Seattle, unveiled a state-of-the-art International Arrivals Facility in May 2022. The 450,000 square foot facility increased the airport’s number of internationally capable gates from 12 to 20 and more than doubled passenger capacity to 2,600 passengers per hour.

Located east of the current A Concourse, the space features baggage claim and customs processing areas as well as a new security corridor that allows dual use of gates on the A Concourse for international and domestic arriving flights.

Amenities such as nursing rooms and pet relief areas provide a more comfortable experience while passing through customs, and enhanced technologies ensure faster passport check clearance, reducing the average customer connection time by approximately 15 minutes.

The IAF also provides a memorable front door to the Pacific Northwest by highlighting regional art, a focus on sustainability, and dramatic views: the facility features an 85-foot-high aerial walkway – creating a connection to the S Concourse – that offers a great look at Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains.

Delta Sky Club

The 21,000 sq. ft. Delta Sky Club at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, featuring a stunning view of Mt. Rainer, is a memorable place for guests to relax and recharge during their journey, with features including:

  • Seasonally rotated, local cuisine from Seattle-based Chef Ethan Stowell, paired with wine
  • Intelligently tinted windows featuring View Dynamic Glass – energy-efficient windows that keep the Club temperature and sunlight at optimal levels, eliminating glare and the need for blinds or shades
  • A 60-ft. suspended sculpture crafted by artist Paul Vexler and a pixelated mural that is inspired by the local landmark Pike Place

A second 21,000-plus-square-foot Delta Sky Club is expected to open at the end of 2024 on Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s A Concourse.
