Stephanie Baldwin, V. P. - Airport Operations - JFK
Stephanie Baldwin serves as the Vice President – Airport Operations, JFK. In this role, Stephanie is responsible for JFK operations, leading a team of over 3,000 Airport Customer Service employees operating 225 peak-day departures. JFK operates Deta’s largest transatlantic schedule serving 97 destinations worldwide. Stephanie’s team also manages the system’s largest ground handling operation for many of Delta’s SkyTeam partners. Stephanie played a crucial role in guiding JFK through the COVID-19 Pandemic and has strengthened her team with over 1,500 new employees since 2021. In June of 2024, Stephanie led the JFK team in launching the new Delta One Premium Sky Club. Stephanie reports to Erik Snell, Senior Vice President – Airport Customer Service (ACS), Cargo Operations, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Global Clean.
Stephanie joined team JFK in 2009 as Director – Above-Wing Operations. Under her leadership, the station saw significant network growth and the consolidation of Terminals 2 and 3 into a state-of-the-art international gateway at JFK’s Terminal 4.
Before returning to JFK in 2017 for her current role, Stephanie was responsible for 40 cities across the east as Director – Airport Operations, East Field Stations. Her career at Delta has spanned the Airport Customer Service organization since she began as a temporary, part-time customer service agent in Cincinnati in 1988. She served as duty manager at Washington Dulles International Airport in 2000, where she led the team through the events of 9/11. She later served as station manager – Detroit Metropolitan Airport, station manager – Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, and field director.
Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Northern Kentucky University and an MBA from Xavier University, Cincinnati. In 2022, she earned her doctorate in leadership from Campbellsville University, where her dissertation was on leader emotional intelligence and the role it plays in follower perceptions of crisis management. Outside of work, Stephanie is passionate about The Sato Project, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. Stephanie enjoys spending time creating memories for families visiting the fishing lakes on her family farm.
