The award-winning Delta Flight Museum: One of ATL’s coolest stops this summer
Looking for something memorable to do in Atlanta this summer? Step out of the heat and into a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience at the Delta Flight Museum — where aviation history, storytelling and hands-on exploration come together for all ages.
Start your visit with Taking Flight, the museum’s award-winning pre-show experience that sets the stage for everything you’re about to discover. Recently honored with top global recognitions — including a Vega Digital Awards Gold — this dynamic introduction offers just a glimpse of the engaging, story-driven experience waiting inside.
From there, the museum opens into a world of interactive exhibits, historic aircraft and behind-the-scenes insights into Delta’s century-long journey. Families, aviation enthusiasts and curious explorers alike can climb aboard planes, get hands-on with engaging displays and discover the people and innovations that shaped modern travel.
Developed in partnership with creative agency Blue Telescope, Taking Flight combines motion graphics, archival footage, music and narration by Delta flight attendant Jeanie Brady to bring Delta’s story to life in a way that feels personal and powerful. While it’s earned recognition from the Vega Digital Awards, Telly Awards and Communicator Awards, it’s just the beginning of what makes a museum visit so memorable.
“It’s an honor to see this work recognized, but even more rewarding to watch visitors experience it every day,” said Nina Thomas, director of Exhibits and Public Programs. “It truly sets the tone for a visit that connects people to Delta’s story in a meaningful way.”
Whether you’re planning a family outing, hosting out-of-town guests or simply looking for a cool, engaging indoor escape, the Delta Flight Museum offers something different this summer.
