Delta sends Seahawks fans to the big game in style with gate celebration at SEA

Delta Air Lines gave Seahawks fans a send-off to remember on Friday morning, hosting a gate celebration at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) ahead of one of five daily flights to the Bay Area for this weekend’s big game.

The departure gate for Flight DL1412 transformed into a sea of blue and green, as excited travelers gathered for a morning of giveaways, special guests.

The activation featured surprise appearances from Seahawks Legend Sean Locklear and exclusive co-branded fan gear that added to the excitement in the terminal.

Throughout the morning, customers enjoyed music, photo moments and fan engagement activities. Delta team members also joined the celebration, helping distribute gifts and share in the enthusiasm as customers headed to cheer on the Seahawks in person.

Of course, moments like this don’t come together without the heart and passion of Delta people. We sat down with George Benavente, arguably one of the biggest Seahawks fans from Delta’s Technical Operations team in Seattle, to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to get customers to the big game.

As a huge Seahawks fan, what is it like seeing your team making it to this moment and then helping to support getting fans to the big game?

“As a season ticket holder, it’s exciting to see the Seahawks make it back to the big game. We were able to support the Seahawks friends and family charter and was pretty excited to do what I can to get them to the game safely.”

How has the SEA TOP team worked to get ready for the rush of travel this weekend?

“For us in TechOps, it’s business as usual. Safety is the top priority just like it is for every Delta flight. It’s exciting to provide a safe and on-time product for the 12s.”

As the official airline of the Seahawks, Delta wishes the team and all traveling a safe and spirited big game weekend.
