Delta will serve as the official airline of SXSW® this March in Austin, Texas – bringing exclusive, premium experiences and opportunities to attendees who have a Delta SkyMiles membership. Delta CEO Ed Bastian will also headline a SXSW Featured Session on Sunday, March 10, where special guests will join him onstage to talk about the power of human connection and describe how Delta has navigated one of the most volatile and competitive industries for nearly a century by putting people first.

“Delta is leading the future of connection – not just in the air, but also on the ground – and unlocking experiences through SkyMiles membership that give our customers more of what they love in their everyday lives,” said Delta’s Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Tillman. “We have an opportunity at SXSW to demonstrate the ways we’re delivering exclusive access, premium rewards and more – beyond their day of travel.”

Delta is the world’s No. 12 Most Admired Company as ranked by FORTUNE, the fifth-largest eCommerce retailer in the U.S. and the 18th best employer in the world as ranked by Forbes. The airline has consistently invested in its customers with a focus on delivering premium experiences and building loyalty. Delta has raised the bar at every point of the travel journey, from fast, free in-flight Wi-Fi to major airport upgrades across the system, including new Delta Sky Clubs. Last year alone, Delta took delivery of more than 40 new planes; announced new destinations including Auckland, Curacao, Tulum and Taipei; and deepened its partnerships with premium brands like Starbucks, Walmart+ and Paramount+.

“We are excited to have Delta join us as a partner as we both strive to bring the world together in unique ways,” said Peter Lewis, SXSW Chief Partnerships Officer. “We’re keen to see their plans come to life at SXSW 2024 and for them to gain exposure to our unparalleled group of creative professionals.”

Delta’s presence at SXSW will feature SkyMiles member experiences like airport hospitality, expedited festival badge pickup, a dedicated house for member hospitality, exciting member unlocks at Billboard Presents THE STAGE at SXSW, and public community engagements with nonprofit partner Waterloo Greenway.

Delta recently announced 11 new peak-day flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) starting April 22, the airline’s most extensive flight schedule to date and a 20% increase in seat capacity over July 2023.

Austin, Texas.

Delta is offering its largest Austin schedule ever – a 20% increase in seat capacity over July 2023, with service to Texas cities Midland-Odessa and McAllen with Austin as the gateway to Delta’s global network, while also introducing service to Nashville and more flights to Cincinnati and Raleigh-Durham.
