From desert escapes to mountain adventures: Delta adds Phoenix flights and expands Bozeman service from Austin
New routes connect Central Texas travelers with desert landscapes, ski season in Montana and more leisure destinations.
Delta is continuing to grow travel options for customers in Austin with the launch of new nonstop service to Phoenix and the winter expansion of its Austin–Bozeman route, giving Central Texas customers more opportunities to explore some of the West’s most iconic outdoor destinations.
“Austin continues to be an important and growing city for Delta,” said Amy Martin, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning. “By adding service to Phoenix and expanding our Bozeman route into the winter season, we’re giving customers in Austin even more access to top requested destinations while strengthening connections to key business markets across the West.”
Two new ways for Austin travelers to head west
Beginning Nov. 9, 2026, Delta will launch twice-daily nonstop service between Austin and Phoenix (PHX) operated by Delta Connection using an Embraer 175 aircraft. The new route connects Central Texas with Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, known for its vibrant culinary scene, championship golf courses, desert hiking and easy access to destinations like Scottsdale and Sedona.
Delta will also extend its new Austin–Bozeman (BZN) service into the winter season. The route launches June 13, 2026, with Saturday-only service for summer travel, operated by Delta Connection using an Embraer 175 aircraft, before expanding to daily service from Dec. 19, 2026, through Mar. 28, 2027. This makes it easier for Austin customers to reach Montana during peak ski season, when travelers flock to Big Sky Resort for world-class skiing and to explore Yellowstone National Park’s unique winter scenery.
Delta’s growing presence in Austin
Delta is proud to be the leading global carrier at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, with 63 peak-day departures from Austin in summer 2026, representing five additional daily departures year over year as the airline continues expanding service from the Texas capital.
By December 2026, Delta will serve 30 destinations from Austin, providing customers with more travel options across the United States and beyond.
In addition to the newly announced routes to Phoenix and Bozeman, Delta is adding service in 2026 to Asheville (AVL), Columbus (CMH), Kalispell (FCA), and Kansas City (MCI), further strengthening its network from Central Texas. Delta also recently launched its first international service from Austin to Cancun (CUN) and Cabo San Lucas (SJD), giving customers direct access to two of Mexico’s most popular beach destinations.
Customers flying Delta from Austin also enjoy one of the most popular Delta Sky Clubs in the airline’s global network, known for its Texas-inspired design and premium tequila- and mezcal-focused beverage menu. For the last three years, the Club has ranked among the highest in customer satisfaction for the Southern region.
Last October, Delta also opened a permanent flight attendant base in Austin, strengthening the airline’s operational presence and long-term commitment to Central Texas.
