When a flight was delayed out of Cleveland, Delta teams across Flight Operations, Airport Customer Service, In-Flight Service, OCC, Reservations & Care and TechOps quickly came together with one goal: keep customers moving safely and minimize impacts to their journey.
Through proactive planning, seamless coordination and rapid execution, a ferry flight from DTW to JFK was diverted to recover the CLE-ATL flight, making up valuable time and helping customers stay on track — including the University of Akron softball team traveling to its first NCAA tournament appearance in program history.
