What do you get when you put two native New Yorkers turned Atlantans in the same room? A dynamic and thoughtful conversation.

Renowned businessman and philanthropist Arthur M. Blank joined Delta CEO Ed Bastian for the first conversation of Gaining Altitude’s second season in his suite at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Upcoming guests include Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United; Rosalind "Roz" Brewer, CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance; Raphael Bostic economist, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; and Ginni Rometty author and former chairman, president and CEO of IBM.

Bastian and Blank discussed Blank’s entrepreneurial journey, what makes a good company, the importance of giving back to your community and what it looks like to “fail forward.”

One topic of discussion during the episode was about growth and Blank’s favorite t-shirt, which reads, “There is no finish line.”

“There’re always opportunities to get better. There’re always opportunities to increase the level of service. There’re always opportunities to become more effective and more efficient at the same time,” said Blank.
