Due to heavy snowfall throughout the Northeast, local airport authorities are focused on snow removal as well as treating runways and taxiways this morning as the storm tapers.

We expect flights to gradually begin resuming at noon in LGA, JFK and BOS based on airport conditions and current guidance from local airport authorities. Delays and additional schedule adjustments are possible as operations recover.

Some international flights departed for JFK this morning and are planned to land after 12 p.m. ET. Customers traveling at other airports across the Northeast region should continue to monitor their flight status in the Delta app or on delta.com for the most up to date information.

A fare-difference waiver is still in place giving customers with booked travel through Feb. 25 flexible rebooking options. Any rebooked travel must begin no later than Feb. 28 and customers can manage their travel directly in the Delta app or at delta.com.

The safety of Delta customers and our people remains first and foremost as we closely monitor airport conditions and resume operations in the Northeast.

Winter Storm Hernando continues to bring blizzard conditions, strong winds, and substantial snowfall across parts of the Northeast corridor. Delta’s operations remain suspended at Boston Logan, New-York-JFK, New York-LGA and Newark into Tuesday, Feb. 24. Operations are also significantly impacted at several other Northeast airports through this evening.

We encourage customers to take advantage of easy rebooking options in the Delta app and at delta.com, where they can also find the latest flight status information. Flexible options remain available for customers whose travel takes them from, to or through affected airports, which is now covered with a fare-difference waiver through Feb. 25.

Delta teams are in close contact with local airport authorities as they focus on significant snow removal, and we will safely resume flights once weather and airport conditions allow.

As Delta teams continue to monitor Winter Storm Hernando, Delta expects to suspend operations at its New York-LGA, New York-JFK and Boston Logan hubs into Tues, Feb. 24 due to extreme winter weather conditions. The storm is also creating broader disruptions along the East Coast, and customers may experience additional schedule adjustments as the system moves through the region.

Customers traveling in affected areas are encouraged to move their flights before or after the storm.

Additional flexible options are available for customers whose travel takes them to, from or through affected airports, to move their flights outside the expected weather window, which is now covered through a fare-difference waiver through Feb 25 and rebooked by Feb. 28.

Our priority is to notify customers as early as possible of any flight cancellations, and Delta is proactively messaging customers with impacted flights.
