Delta tops J.D. Power’s Premium Economy segment for third year in a row
Delta is the top-ranked airline for Premium Economy Passenger Satisfaction in the J.D. Power 2025 North America Airline Satisfaction Study.

For the third consecutive year, Delta ranked highest for the Premium Economy segment in the J.D. Power 2025 North America Airline Satisfaction Study, powered by the exceptional service and care of its people and the premium experiences it delivers for customers at every point in their journey. The study measures satisfaction among business and leisure travelers of major airline carriers in North America with the entire air travel experience.
Delta earned the top score in the segment thanks to its leading performance in six of the seven study dimensions that J.D. Power evaluates in the annual rankings, including:
- Day of travel pre-/post-flight experience
- On-board experience
- Ease of travel with airline
- Digital tools
- Airline staff
- Level of trust with airline
Delta people deliver the world-class service and operational excellence that turn customers into loyal Delta flyers, and the airline continues to invest in experiences — both physical and digital — that further elevate the travel experience.
- Industry-leading onboard connectivity: Fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi presented by T-Mobile is now available to SkyMiles members on Delta’s near-entire domestic mainline fleet and most transatlantic routes, with international expansion underway. And with a smarter Delta Sync seatback entertainment experience, customers’ seats in the sky feel more like the seats in their living room.

A new partnership with YouTube will soon allow SkyMiles Members to enjoy their favorite content ad-free while onboard most flights with Delta Sync Wi-Fi and Delta Sync seatback as part of their in-flight entertainment. Delta also teamed up with Shake Shack to serve delicious burgers at 30,000 feet on select First Class flights.
- Lounges that deliver luxury: In 2024, Delta debuted Delta One Lounges at JFK, LAX and BOS; a new-market Delta Sky Club in Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT); and expansions to the MIA and LGA Clubs. At the top of 2025, the airline expanded at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and opened a new Club in ATL. Still to come — a new Delta One Lounge in SEA, new Clubs in SEA and SLC, and an expansion to the Club in PHL.
- Innovative digital tools to power seamless journeys: Just in time for summer travel, the latest update to the award-winning Fly Delta app provides even more user-friendly features and functionality that connect customers to real-time trip details, exclusive partner experiences and personalized support. Plus, available to eligible Fly Delta app users and recently expanded to SLC and DCA, Digital ID is now available in six Delta hubs for a fast, hands-free experience at bag drop and security.
