For the sixth year, Delta earned a spot on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list, jumping to No. 15. Delta is the only airline on the list, joining companies such as Hilton, American Express and Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. in the top 15.

“All Delta people should be incredibly proud of this recognition,” Chief Executive Officer Ed Bastian said. “For 100 years, our people have set us apart and been the foundation of what makes Delta a great workplace, and they will continue to propel us forward through our next century.”

The workplace culture experts at Great Place To Work select the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® each year. These selections are largely based on employee feedback and recognize employers with great company culture. Visit Delta’s GPTW page' + drupalSettings.data.extlink.extLabel + ' to learn more.

Delta’s culture of care and people-first approach bolstered our placement and were key to earning this recognition. Employee feedback from the GPTW Trust Index Survey and GPTW’s evaluation of Delta highlight the many ways our people have helped make Delta a great workplace now and for the last 100 years.

“Honors like this show the importance of our pledge to everyone at Delta to invest in you from the day you’re hired until the day you retire,” said E.V.P. and Chief People Officer Allison Ausband. “When our people feel valued and cared for, they can be fully present every day. They can truly put themselves on the other side of the counter and show our customers the care that makes Delta not just an airline, but a beloved brand.”

Delta’s investments in career development and in-person connection opportunities for employees stood out in a year when many other companies were focused on technology and cost savings.

Profit sharing is another key differentiator, as Delta shared $1.4B in profit sharing with employees worldwide this February. On the GPTW survey, 80% of Delta people strongly agreed that they receive a fair share of the company’s profits, compared to 68% at other top companies.

Great Place To Work CEO Michael Bush commended Ed's focus on "people and technology while putting people first." Delta achieved the largest score increase and the biggest placement improvement – up to No. 15 from No. 94 last year – of any company in 100 Best's history. "In a tough year, somehow Delta kept climbing," Bush said.

GPTW TRUST INDEX SURVEY

A randomized sample of approximately 25,000 U.S.-based Delta people with representation across divisions and roles were asked to participate in the 2024 Trust Index survey administered by GPTW.

The independent survey asks employees to share their voice and provide honest opinions about different aspects of working at Delta. This survey assesses Delta’s strengths and challenges and complements internal surveys to help Delta continuously improve the work experience for employees.
