Joe Miller, Vice President – Airport Operations, ATL

Joe Miller serves as the Vice President – ATL Airport Customer Service (ACS). In this role, Joe leads over 8,500 Delta employees at the world’s busiest airport, overseeing 900 flights daily. His passion for working with teams to identify and solve complex problems has guided his leadership of the company’s largest hub, which sees approximately 23% of Delta customers every day. Joe reports to Erik Snell, Senior Vice President – Airport Customer Service (ACS), Cargo Operations, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Global Clean.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Joe spearheaded the rebuilding of the Delta airport team in ATL. He helped facilitate the hiring and training of thousands of new team members to ensure customers received even better service and support when they were ready to travel again.

Since January 2003, Joe has navigated every major operations business unit at Delta. He spent his first nine years in TechOps and has held leadership positions in Cargo, ACS and Delta Connection. He also spent three and a half years as the Chief Operating Officer at Endeavor, where his team grew the airline by 40% and achieved top tier customer service and operational performance targets.

He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Saint Thomas University. When not at work, Joe is in the memory-making business traveling around the globe with his wife and four children.
