Nine years ago, Emiel Akkermans, Maintenance Manager at Delta’s AMS station, had a dream to start a charity event to raise money for cancer research after losing one of his best friends to the disease. He launched Ride 4 the Fight, this year celebrating $17,000 raised for the Dutch Cancer Society, in support of research and improving the lives of those living with cancer. 

As Delta celebrates its 100th year of connecting the world, we’re also celebrating a partnership that reflects the heart of who we are — 20 years of standing alongside the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
