With the growing global interest in K-Food, or Korean cuisine, Delta is offering authentic Korean meals on flights out of Incheon International Airport (ICN), to offer a unique in-flight dining experience for our customers.
To meet the high interest and expectations of Korean customers in particular, Delta collaborated with world-renowned chefs to develop a Korean menu that reflects their passion and expertise.
Whether you’re flying in Main Cabin or Delta One on one of our ICN routes, you’ll have an opportunity to try K-Food.
Delta One: Explore signature K-Food cuisine like beef tteokgalbi
Delta One is a luxurious experience that goes beyond ordinary travel, with spacious and comfortable 180-degree lie-flat seats, privacy doors, priority boarding, exclusive lounge access and more to make your journey extra special. The exceptional dining experience is another highlight of Delta One.
Meals are available in both Korean and Western flavors and include an appetizer and dessert.
The Korean menu features delicacies like rice, cod soup, and beef tteokgalbi, the latter of which boasts a deep, rich flavor with grilled red onions, shiitake mushrooms, and asparagus served with a ginger-garlic sauce. Standard side dishes include white kimchi, squid delicacies, fried crab egg, and sautéed shrimp with garlic bells and mushrooms, served with gochujang for diners to add their own flavor.
The Western menu features a coursed delivery, with grilled duck breast with mushrooms and herbs, pumpkin and sweet potato soup, green salad, and a dinner roll to start. The main course includes a choice of chicken in cream sauce or cheese lasagna, giving customers a taste of the local flavors before they arrive in the U.S. All entrees come with a soup, salad and dinner roll.
Guests can also enjoy complimentary warmed nuts, a variety of beers, spirits and a selection of white, rosé, red and sparkling wines to complement their meal.
Mid-flight snacks include savory liver chicken, kimchi dumplings, and a refreshing coleslaw with ketchup and gochujang mayonnaise.
If you'd like to enjoy all courses in one sitting in Delta One and Delta Premium Select, just ask your flight attendant for the “dine and rest” option.
Please note that the Korean and Western menus are available in limited quantities, so if you'd like to make your selection, please do so in advance via the Fly Delta app at least 24 hours before departure.
Delta Premium Select: An upscale dining experience
Delta Premium Select offers a spacious seat and a variety of dining options. You'll also enjoy Sky Priority benefits, including expedited check-in, security and baggage service, and a fine dining experience with a thoughtfully prepared menu.
Meals start with a green salad and flatbread crackers with olive oil and sea salt. Main dishes mirror Delta One selections, with a choice of Korean and Western entrees. Premium Select customers can expect the same beef tteokgalbi dish served in Delta One, and the Western option is a choice of grilled chicken with herb sauce and a vegetarian option, a Spanish omelette.
Korean meals and Spanish omelettes are of limited quantity, so it's recommended that customers make their meal selections in advance on the Fly Delta app at least one day before departure.
Apple tarts are available for dessert, and customers can round out their journeys with Korean snacks like liver chicken and kimchi dumplings before arrival to their destination. A variety of beverage and wine options are also available.
Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin: Try 'Japchae'
Delta Comfort+ offers more legroom and priority boarding and deplaning, and passengers in the Main Cabin can select their seats prior to departure, like other classes. Both Comfort+ and Main Cabin offer a complimentary standard meal, a variety of snacks and beverages.
The standard meal starts with potatoes and Asian-style coleslaw, followed by cheese and crackers. For dessert, there's a chocolate brownie and mushroom pizza twist for mid-flight snacking.
For the main course, customers can choose between a japchae or Spanish omelette. Japchae is a popular Korean dish that combines the textures of chewy vermicelli noodles and crunchy vegetables. It boasts a deep, rich flavor with fresh sesame oil-infused flavors of carrots, mushrooms, and onions.
