Delta Air Lines is celebrating 25 years of operations in Argentina, marking a milestone that reflects the airline’s long-standing commitment to the country and its role in connecting Argentina with the United States and the world.

Since launching service in 2000, Delta has grown alongside Argentina’s aviation market, supporting cultural exchange, tourism and business ties while building long-term partnerships and local teams that continue to shape the airline’s presence today.

A 25-year journey built on connection

What began as a single route has evolved into a sustained presence rooted in partnership, trust and shared growth. Over the past quarter century, Argentina has become an integral part of Delta’s Latin America strategy, guided by a long-term view of connectivity and collaboration.

“Seeing how Delta has grown alongside Argentina over these 25 years fills me with pride, both professionally and personally,” said Luciano Macagno, managing director for Latin America at Delta Air Lines. “Argentina is not just a market for Delta. It is part of our history and our present. None of this would be possible without the trust of our customers, the support of our partners and the commitment of our local teams.”

Connecting Argentina with the world

Delta’s presence in Argentina has consistently focused on creating meaningful connections. Today, the airline operates daily nonstop service between Atlanta and Buenos Aires, complemented by seasonal nonstop service between New York–JFK and Buenos Aires, offering customers multiple gateways into Delta’s global network.

Through the Delta–LATAM Joint Venture, customers in Argentina can connect to more than 200 destinations across the United States and Canada, a network expansion introduced when Argentina joined the joint venture in 2025.

“Over these 25 years, Delta has grown not only in routes and passengers, but also in long-term relationships and shared purpose with our customers and strategic partners,” said Gabriela Cioccia, regional sales manager for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The importance of aviation as a bridge between Argentina and the United States has also been emphasized by U.S. Ambassador to Argentina Peter Lamelas, who has

highlighted connectivity as a driver of economic, cultural and people-to-people ties between both countries.

Marking the milestone

To mark the 25-year milestone, Delta recently brought together employees, partners and industry leaders in Buenos Aires to recognize the journey and the relationships behind it.

People at the heart of the journey

Behind Delta’s 25-year history in Argentina are the people who have built trust and reliability in the market. Local teams continue to play a key role in supporting customers, partners and daily operations, reinforcing Delta’s commitment to the country.

Looking ahead

As Delta marks 25 years in Argentina, the milestone reflects both progress and continuity. It honors what has been built while reinforcing a long-term commitment to the future.

Guided by partnership, connectivity and people, Delta remains committed to Argentina and to its role as a trusted bridge between the country and the world.
