The Boston Business Journal has named Delta one of Massachusetts’ Most Charitable Companies for 2025, awarding the global airline the Corporate Citizenship Award. Delta is proud to stand out as the most charitable airline in the state and the only commercial carrier to make this year’s list.

This recognition is a testament to the difference Delta people make every day in Boston. Through strategic investments, partnerships that create opportunity, and the thousands of Delta employees that volunteer with heart—Delta’s impact on this region extends far beyond the airport.

Giving Back to BOS

  • Earlier this year, The Delta Air Lines Foundation awarded a $1 million grant to the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) to expand its refrigeration capacity to provide fresh produce, dairy, protein, and eggs to families across Eastern Massachusetts. This grant will help the Food Bank distribute up to 10 million additional pounds of nutritious food each year.
  • Beyond financial support, Delta people regularly volunteer at the GBFB from warehouse shifts to mobile markets, contributing hundreds of hours to help meet the community’s most pressing needs.
  • Earlier this week, Delta operated a charter for Honor Flight New England to fly veterans to Washington, D.C., to express recognition and gratitude for their service.
  • Delta supports dozens of other nonprofits in Greater Boston with a robust portfolio of partners including the American Red Cross, Boston Children’s Hospital, Head of The Charles Regatta, Junior Achievement of Greater Boston, KIPP Massachusetts, Museum of Science, Speak for the Trees, Marine Toys for Tots, UNCF, USO New England and YMCA – Greater Boston, to name a few.

Being recognized as one of Massachusetts’ most charitable companies underscores how Delta brings its values to life in Boston. Our local relationships reflect a long-term commitment to the people and organizations that make this region thrive.

“Delta is investing in the Boston community, and Delta’s contributions and employee volunteer efforts are getting recognized by our customers,” said Candice Stover, General Manager, New England Sales. “We are thrilled to be chosen as one of Massachusetts most charitable companies.”
