Delta celebrates International Education Month with “Dreams in Motion,” a short film series of how one opportunity can jumpstart the journey of a lifetime - starting Dec. 1 on Delta seatback screens and YouTube. 

Delta celebrated 25 years of its DREAM flight, giving students with aviation aspirations the opportunity to travel with and learn from current industry leaders.  

Last month, 100 Delta employees and local community volunteers from Atlanta’s Grant Park came together to build Delta’s 46th KABOOM! playground and 11th in the airline’s hometown. Delta partnered with Grant Park Conservancy to build the new playspace in Grant Park, the oldest park in Atlanta. 

Celebrating 100 years of flight, Delta honors Boston’s legacy at the Head of the Charles while spotlighting its role as a global gateway – connecting the city to approximately 70 destinations worldwide. 

 On Saturday, Sept. 27, more than 100 Delta employee and local community volunteers, including the Seattle Seahawks, came together to build Delta’s 45th KABOOM! playground and sixth in the Seattle area.

Nine years ago, Emiel Akkermans, Maintenance Manager at Delta’s AMS station, had a dream to start a charity event to raise money for cancer research after losing one of his best friends to the disease. He launched Ride 4 the Fight, this year celebrating $17,000 raised for the Dutch Cancer Society, in support of research and improving the lives of those living with cancer. 

As the Delta Honor Guard marks its 20th anniversary, one of its founders reflects on the group’s earliest days and shares poignant memories of paying tribute to fallen heroes.
