Delta TechOps is leading the way in next-generation engine support with the announcement of its first third-party LEAP-1B maintenance contract for the engines powering Korean Air’s 737 MAX fleet.

The airline group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with plans to build an industry-leading partnership between North America, the U.K., Europe, India and beyond.

Delta and Korean to acquire independent equity stakes totaling 25% in WestJet for US$550 million from Onex Partners and its affiliated funds and co-investors (the “Onex Group”).

The expansion will give customers access to a broader network of more than 200 destinations across the United States, Canada and Argentina, delivering enhanced travel options and a more consistent customer experience. 

Delta, Aeromexico, and Junior Achievement collaborated to provide students with practical experience and an authentic introduction to the aviation sector. Delta partners with over 30 Junior Achievement (JA) chapters across five continents to educate students on financial literacy and career preparedness.  

Two years after the start of their Joint Venture, Delta and the LATAM group review and report that since 2022, the partnership has allowed them to grow by 68% in flights, inaugurated 6 new routes, operated more than 32,000 flights, and transported more than 5 million passengers.

The codeshare agreement will enable greater connectivity between the United States and the Middle East. Delta customers will gain access to nine destinations in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East beyond Saudia’s hubs in Jeddah and Riyadh.

Delta and SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System), the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, have signed a codeshare agreement effective Sept. 25, 2024. This agreement comes as SAS recently joined SkyTeam on Sept. 1.
