Santa Barbara, Yosemite, Tahoe and more: Get there on Delta with new and returning flights for summer 2024
As this summer comes to an end, Delta is already gearing up for next year’s warmer months with the reopening of nonstop service to Santa Barbara, California, and new and resumed flying to gateways near other scenic spots like Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe.
The latest lineup bolsters Delta’s nonstop connections from its Atlanta hub to cities in the U.S. West, as the airline adds nonstop daily service to Santa Barbara and Fresno, California; resumes daily flying to Burbank and Oakland, California; and Reno, Nevada; and grows to year-round service to Aspen, Colorado. The airline will also launch a new Dallas-Seattle route and resume some additional flying from Salt Lake City and Detroit.
"By reopening service to Santa Barbara and delivering more ways to access sought-after destinations throughout the U.S. West, we’re more ready than ever to take our customers on their next great adventures – with the service, reliability and convenience they’ve come to know and expect when flying Delta," said Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President – Network Planning.
All flights are scheduled to begin next summer and will be available for booking starting Saturday, Sept. 16.
SANTA BARBARA
Customers looking to enjoy Santa Barbara’s Mediterranean climate, Spanish-style architecture and idyllic beaches can once again get there directly on Delta. In June, Delta will introduce new nonstop, once-daily flying to Santa Barbara from Atlanta and relaunch twice-daily flights from Salt Lake City.
FRESNO
Delta’s outdoor-loving customers can also look forward to a new daily service between Atlanta and Fresno, a major gateway to popular scenic destinations such as Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, and the Sierra National Forest. Delta currently serves Fresno three times daily from Salt Lake City.
SEATTLE
Rounding out next summer’s new routes is nonstop service between Delta’s Seattle hub and Dallas-Fort Worth. The launch of this twice-daily service in July brings customers to the most populous destination not already served by Delta out of Seattle. With this addition, Delta will offer more than 160 daily departures to 55 destinations from Seattle, including service to more international destinations than any other carrier at Seattle-Tacoma Airport.
ASPEN
Once a winter-season operation, Delta’s service to Aspen from both Atlanta and Los Angeles will be extended to year-round in 2024. A top-requested destination by Delta’s customers, the service to Aspen from LAX will operate daily year-round, while ATL service will operate twice daily in the winter and once daily for the rest of the year.
LAKE TAHOE
Returning nonstop service from Atlanta to Reno, Nevada, will enable access to another sought-after outdoor destination: Lake Tahoe. Previously operated in 2021, this once-daily flight will relaunch in June, adding to three-times-daily Reno flying from both Salt Lake City and Los Angeles.
ALASKA
Customers itching to explore Alaska and its national parks will be happy to hear of the return of Delta’s nonstop daily service between Detroit and Anchorage in June, which operated in summer 2021. Detroit complements Delta's year-round service to Anchorage from Seattle and Minneapolis St. Paul and summer seasonal service from Atlanta and Salt Lake City. In addition to Anchorage, Delta serves four other cities in the Last Frontier, including Fairbanks, Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka.
EVEN MORE FLYING FROM ATLANTA, DETROIT AND SALT LAKE CITY
Delta will further bolster its ATL network by increasing its daily frequencies from Atlanta to Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sacramento, California; and El Paso, Texas. Meanwhile, Salt Lake City customers will see the return of nonstop, daily service to Columbus, Ohio, while Detroit flyers will regain nonstop, once-daily service to Sacramento.
