DELTA’S INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT COAST TO COAST
- Delta has spent the past decade investing more than $12 billion in airport hubs across the country, cementing our commitment to modernize and transform the travel experience. These facilities aren’t just beautiful and new – they're also expertly designed for optimal efficiency and speed, allowing travelers to navigate quickly, easily, and intuitively.
- In fact, Delta opened Phase One of the Sky Way at LAX to customers on April 20, kicking off the multi-year infrastructure transformation at another one of its important coastal hubs.
THE DELTA SKY WAY AT LGA PROJECT
- Delta and the PANYNJ are jointly investing $4 billion at LGA that will consolidate Terminals C and D into a state-of-the-art terminal facility, spanning 1.3 million square feet and featuring 37 gates across four concourses.
- A transformed, efficient experience has been created at LGA’s brand-new Terminal C, and customerswill experience this transformation from the moment they arrive. A centralized check-in lobby, security checkpoint and baggage claim area is easy to navigate while providing customers with space to breathe.
- Terminal C has been designed for optimal efficiency and speed, allowing New Yorkers to navigate to and from their gates quickly and intuitively, utilizing the latest technologies such as hands-free bag drop, self-serve check-in and Digital ID screening capabilities.
- Concourse E, the second of the four concourses to be built with the new terminal, will open with the new headhouse and consist of ten new gates (nine that will be operational as of June 4) that will be able to accommodate Delta’s full range of domestic fleet from regional jets up to 737-900s and A320s or A321s.
- Delta has accelerated timelines and pulled the future forward even faster to give NYC and New Yorkers the airport it deserves. The entire four-concourse terminal will now be fully complete by the end of 2024, almost two years earlier than originally planned.
- Delta has invested nearly $7 billion in NYC airports since 2010, part of what’s earned our designation as New York’s No. 1 airline.

- Delta and its more than 10,000 New York-based employees are part of the fabric of the New York community.
- Delta is proud to be the official airline of Madison Square Garden, which includes the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, The Beacon Theatre, and Radio City Music Hall, as well as the New York Yankees and the New York Mets.
- Delta also provides funding and support to over 30 non-profit organizations throughout the state focused on equity, education and the environment such as the Food Banks (New York City, Western New York, and Central New York), the United Negro College Fund, Junior Achievement (New York, Central Upstate New York and Western New York divisions), the New York Restoration Project and multiple YMCA chapters, to name a few.
