Wall Street Journal

Wall Street Journal, for the second year in a row, named Delta best U.S. Airline of 2018 in the Middle Seat Scorecard ranking of Best and Best and Worst U.S. Airlines.

The Points Guy

The Points Guy, an influential travel news website, ranked Delta best U.S. airline after competing against 10 U.S. airlines in 11 categories.


Fortune, for the third consecutive year, named Delta on its "Best Companies to Work For" list. Fortune also placed Delta, for the sixth consecutive year, on the "Top 50 Most Admired Companies" list.

Business Travel Awards

Business Travel Awards awarded Delta "Best Long-Haul Airline" due to innovation in biometric and facial recognition, on-time performance, profitability and global outlook.

World Travel Awards

World Travel Awards named Delta “North America’s Leading Airline Brand 2019,” “United States’ Leading Airline to Mexico 2019”,” United States’ Leading Airline to South America 2019”, and the Delta Sky Club at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport “North America’s Leading Airport Lounge 2019” for the third consecutive year.


Delta earned the Corporate Partner Award from UNCF’s New York chapter at the non-profit's 75th annual “A Mind Is” gala for a commitment to education for all.

The Center for Companies That Care

Delta was named to The Center for Companies That Care’s Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive year for outstanding workplace practices and active community involvement that reflect employer engagement.

Fast Company

Delta’s deployment of biometrics, combined with its groundbreaking weather app, earned it the No. 2 spot among travel companies on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list.

Air Cargo World

Delta Cargo achieved the highest level of industry recognition by being awarded an Air Cargo Excellence Award in the up to 999,900 tonnes category.  This year the airline was given a Diamond Award, which is two categories up from the Gold Award achieved last year.

Delta TechOps was voted "Best Engine Repair" in the 11th annual Top Shop Awards, marking the sixth consecutive year the airline's Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul division has won a Top Shop Award. 

Corporate Responsibility Magazine

Delta Air Lines was named to Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine's annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking, recognized for outstanding environmental, social and governance transparency and performance amongst the 1,000 largest U.S. public companies.




Minnesota OSHA

Delta’s Iron Range Customer Engagement Center was recognized by Minnesota’s OSHA and earned a Minnesota Star designation and an OSHA Voluntary Protection Star site designation

Air Cargo Excellence Awards

Delta Cargo received the Air Cargo Excellence Gold Award in the up to 999,900 tonnes category for the first time and Delta’s joint venture partner Air France-KLM won the Gold Award for over one million or more tonnes category.

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council

Delta was honored as a Top Corporation for Women Business Enterprises by Women’s Business Enterprise National Council for demonstrating the highest commitment to providing opportunities for women-owned suppliers.

Companies That Care

For the third consecutive year, Delta was named to the 2018 Honor Roll of companies that act in socially responsible ways for their employees and communities by Companies That Care.

Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service

Delta Vacations won nearly two dozen awards at the Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer service, including a “Grand Stevie” for being one of the top 10 companies and organizations to receive the most Stevie awards in 2018.

Fast Company

Delta Air Lines was named one of the Most Innovative Companies Worldwide by Fast Company, in part due to its use of RFID technology to track customer bags in real time which earned it the No. 6 spot among travel companies.

Fortune Magazine

For the second consecutive year, Delta Air Lines has been named one of the 2018 Fortune “100 Best Companies to Work For”, the only airline to appear on the list .


Premier Latin travel media outlet, LADEVI recognized Delta Air Lines with the Insignia Award for Excellence 2018 as the Best Global Airline in Latin America and the Caribbean for the third consecutive year.

Fortune Magazine

For the fifth consecutive year, Delta Air Lines earned a spot among the world’s leading brands after being named as one of Fortune magazine’s Most Admired Companies.

Wall Street Journal

On the Wall Street Journal’s Middle Seat scorecard of the eight major airlines, Delta was ranked number one based on seven key operational metrics.

Veterans of Foreign Wars

Delta Honor Guard, a volunteer network of hundreds of frontline employees who provide services for fallen soldiers being flown home, received the Veterans of Foreign Wars Americanism Award.

Nielsen Norman Group

Delta’s internal website for employees, Deltanet, was included in the 10 Best Intranets for 2018 by the Nielsen Norman Group.

Global Traveler

Delta has been named the international business class winner in Global Traveler's annual Wine on the Wings competition. Global Traveler selected a panel of more than 20 wine professionals to oversee this year's competition. 

U.S. News & World Report

Delta SkyMiles was named a Best Travel Rewards Program for 2018-2019 by U.S. News & World Report, securing the No. 2 overall spot for airline reward programs for the second year running. 

TravelAge West

Delta Air Lines was named the Best Domestic Airline for the seventh consecutive year for the 2018 Western Agents Votes of Excellence awards by TravelAge West. Delta Vacations also has been honored again as the “Best Airline Vacation Brand.”

Points of Light

Delta Air Lines has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 by Points of Light, the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognizes Delta as one of the most community-minded companies in the United States.

Flight Global

Recognizing Delta’s strong performance, highlighted by a record 251 days without a mainline cancellation, FlightGlobal awarded Delta ‘Most On-time North American Mainline,’ ‘Most On-time North American Network Airline,’ and ‘Most On-time International Mainline Airline.’ It’s the second year in a row Delta has taken top honors in the annual On-Time Performance Service Award.


Delta has been honored with a Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award, a list of the Best Places to Work in 2019. This is the fourth straight year the company has earned this honor, ranking at No. 28 in the list of 100 large companies.

Fast Company

Delta Air Lines was named a 2018 finalist for Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards in the Fashion and Beauty category for its new uniforms.

The Beat

For the seventh consecutive year, Delta has been named the Most Admired Airline and Overall Most Admired Supplier in The Beat Readers’ Choice Awards. 

Great Place to Work

Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine have called out Delta as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces for Diversity, an honor the airline has now earned for three straight years.

Business Travel News

For a record eighth consecutive year, the corporate travel community has ranked Delta No. 1 among U.S. airlines in the annual Business Travel News Airline Survey. Since BTN first began surveying corporate travel professionals in 1998, no other airline has topped the survey for eight consecutive years.

Travel Weekly

Delta Sky Club on Concourse B was named a 2018 Magellan Gold Award winner in the Airport Lounge Category by Travel Weekly ­– the first award for this Club.  Delta was the only U.S. airline and one of only two winners that received the 2018 Magellan Gold Award in the Airport Lounge Category.

Business Traveller Awards

Delta has continued its winning streak in the U.K. by being named Best North American Airline at the annual Business Travel Awards.

Airline Passenger Experience Association

The Airline Passenger Experience Association ranked Delta as one of 25 global airlines worthy of a five-star rating out of about 500 passenger airlines surveyed. This customer experience award followed Delta receiving its first-ever five-star rating in 2017 as well as the prestigious Crystal Cabin award for its Delta One suite.

American Heart Association

Delta received Gold recognition from the American Heart Association for Workplace Health Achievement Index. 

National Business Group

Platinum Level honors for the 2018 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles® from the National Business Group on Health.  2018 is the fourth straight year Delta has earned the “Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles” distinction, and the second straight year it has achieved Platinum status. 

World Travel Awards

Thousands of customers recognized Delta's investments in airports, cutting edge travel technology and on-board experience, choosing the airline for an unprecedented six World Travel Awards in 2018.

World Travel Awards

The Delta Sky Club at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was named "North America's Leading Airport Lounge 2018" for the second year in a row by the World Travel Awards, based on votes from travel and tourism professionals and consumers across the globe. 




Great Place to Work

Delta earned the award for a second straight year based on extensive ratings provided by Delta employees in anonymous surveys. 

J.D. Power

​​For the fourth consecutive year, Delta Air Lines Premium Sales and Service achieved the J.D. Power Certified Contact Center distinction within the Live Phone channel. 

The Beat

Delta was awarded the Most Admired Supplier and Most Admired Airline by the readers of The Beat at their 10th Annual Beat Readers' Choice Awards for the sixth year in a row.

The National Business Group on Health

Delta Wellness was recognized for the third straight year with the "Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles" 2017 Platinum Award from The National Business Group on Health.


Delta's superior customer experience was recognized with the only five-star rating of 14 global airlines from APEX Official Airline Ratings.

Atlanta Cargo Awards

For the second consecutive year, Delta Cargo has been awarded “Cargo Airline of the Year” at the Atlanta Cargo Awards based on the most tonnage handled at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Red Cross

Employees and retirees contributed a record 9,375 pints of blood at Delta-hosted American Red Cross blood drives during fiscal year 2017 ranking Delta as the No. 2 corporate blood donor in the U.S.


Delta Cargo has been awarded IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Pharma Logistics Certification. 

TravelAge West

The readers of TravelAge West awarded Delta with two WAVE awards, Airline Providing the Best Travel Agent Support, and Best Airline — Domestic for the sixth consecutive year.


Bizbash listed Delta as No. 3 among the top 10 innovative brands of 2017.

RFID Journal

Delta was honored with the Best Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) Implementation Award from the RFID Journal, recognizing the airline’s industry-leading baggage handling strategy.

Delta Air Lines was named alongside other top brands, as one of only 32 Blue Ribbon Companies in 2017, determined by how many of Fortune Magazine’s eight major awards the company received.

Travel Weekly

Travel Weekly readers voted Delta Air Lines as the Best Domestic Airline for the seventh consecutive year, the Top Airline Overall for the fourth consecutive year, Best Sales and Service for the second year and the Legacy in Travel Philanthropy Award for the first time. Delta Vacations and Delta partners also took home multiple awards.


For the third consecutive year, Delta Air Lines was a winner of one the annual Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards of the Best Places to Work in 2018, and the top ranked airline on the list of 50 large companies.

According to the Morgan Stanley 2017 Corporate Travel Survey, Delta Air Lines was rated as best-in-class for 2018 and has ranked No. 1 each year since 2013.

Human Rights Campaign Foundation

For the second straight year, Delta Air Lines received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, placing Delta in the ranks of 609 major U.S. business which also earned top marks in 2017.

Meeting, Conventions and Incentive industry

At the inaugural Stella Awards put on by the Meeting, Conventions and Incentives industry, Delta Air Lines was voted the Best Airline.
